WILDLIFE WARRIORS

Week 1 – Quito & Amazon Adventure

​

  • Day 1-2: Touch down in Quito! Begin your journey with an exciting orientation and city exploration. Discover the historic center’s colorful streets, bustling markets, and cultural gems—all in a safe and guided environment. Meet your fellow volunteers and get ready to dive into Ecuador’s wonders.

  • Day 3-7: Journey into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Spend a full week volunteering at a wildlife rescue center, caring for parrots, monkeys, and turtles. Participate in habitat restoration, feeding, and educational activities. Trek through lush jungles, spot exotic wildlife, and paddle along winding rivers—all with trained guides and secure accommodations ensuring your safety and comfort.

Week 2 – Cuenca & Cultural Immersion

  • Transfer to the stunning city of Cuenca, where you’ll volunteer at a second animal rescue center, working hands-on with rescued species and learning about conservation strategies.

  • Explore Cuenca’s vibrant colonial streets, artisan markets, and lively cultural events.

Optional adventures: Marvel at Cotopaxi’s towering volcano, soak in Baños’ waterfalls, hike Quilotoa crater, wander Mindo’s cloud forests, or ride the thrilling Nariz del Diablo train—all fully guided and safe.

​

Flexibility: Programs can be combined or extended to explore multiple rescue centers, adding more wildlife and adventure experiences.

MIND MOVERS

Week 1 – Quito & Surrounding Magical Towns

​

  • Day 1-2: Arrive in Quito, get oriented, and start your adventure safely. Explore the vibrant historic district, colorful local markets, and stunning viewpoints. Meet your team and prepare for your first teaching experience.

  • Day 3-7: Volunteer in rural schools around Quito, bringing the universal language of English to young children. Lead fun activities, games, and lessons that inspire and empower, all while being supported by trained local coordinators ensuring a safe and rewarding environment.

Week 2 – Otavalo & Northern Highlands

  • Travel to the heart of the northern Highlands and continue teaching in charming towns. Explore local indigenous markets, waterfalls, and vibrant villages.

​

Included tours: Hike through Papallacta hot springs, explore Mindo’s cloud forest, and discover Cotacachi’s artisan traditions—all with experienced guides and full support.

​

Flexibility: Combine with Wildlife Warriors or Roots of Change for a longer, epic Ecuador adventure, mixing teaching, conservation, and cultural experiences.

 

ROOTS OF CHANGE

Week 1 – Amazon & Eastern Lowlands

​

  • Day 1-2: Arrive in Quito and kick off your journey safely. Orientation and fun cultural explorations prepare you for the adventure ahead.

  • Day 3-7: Dive into the Amazon rainforest! Volunteer on ecological cleaning, wildlife observation, and community sustainability projects. Explore rivers, jungle trails, and hidden wildlife spots with trained guides ensuring your safety while fully immersing yourself in nature.

Week 2 – Highlands / Sierra

​

  • Move to Imbabura and participate in hands-on reforestation projects, planting native species and restoring ecosystems.

  • Attend workshops at local environmental foundations on biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable practices.

​

Included visits: Trek Papallacta hot springs, wander Mindo cloud forest, explore Cotacachi, hike around Cuicocha crater, visit Otavalo’s vibrant markets, and stand at Mitad del Mundo. All experiences are fully guided with safety and support.

​

Flexibility: Programs can be extended or comined to explore Ecuador’s wildlife, teaching, and environmental projects for a full, transformative adventure.
